Never thought of that.

Should have known better. Might have done better if I had let him finish his two beers first. Or maybe I should have just snuck it in. "Honey, that runner duck has some weird growth on its face!

Fixer upper. We are handy type people. I love the old farmhouses. I was raised in one. Maybe that's why.

I was raised in an old house too. The feeling is a lot different than the new ones. Our walls are so think, folks have to honk thier horns to get our attention, unless we are in the dinning room with the bay window.

I call it "fascinated with old architecture." I was all about buying a 1910 home when we were looking to move out here. Someone swooped in and bought it right before we could go see it. Now we're in a 1973 house, but the 22 acres across the road is vacant, so it feels like we live out in the woods. My bosses are telling me to thank my lucky stars we didn't get that old farmhouse. Theirs is a 1901 and it's a money pit (their opinion).

I HATE that when people swoop in. It's kinda like Ebay. Except for I do that, so that's different. LOL.
I like money pits. I want one.
Land is very expensive here, and if something's priced right it goes fast. The last one we wanted got swooped out from under us too. So now it's back to looking some more.

I'm so happy we're done moving. Forever. If I get my way. Though I really wish I could get my hands on that 22 acres across the road. Think I'd get a few more ducks.

Well, I'm going to call it a night. Tomorrow is candling day! Cross your fingers that those little duckies are partying down in their eggs! If I get 3 to hatch, I'll be happy. Trying to go into this with realistic expectations as a rookie hatcher.

Agreed. And there's always something to discover. Like when you remodel you find old newspapers as insulation or wheat pennies.. Just cool.

Ok peeps. I'm going to call it a night too. I can't wait to get you peeps some pics of these babies when they're all fluffed up. And that 4th egg needs to come out tmw too. Tricky right thar. Silly pip in the wrong place baby.

It will be interesting though, because the one in the egg still looks to have a little black on it. Maybe the appleyards just have that much variation. Of course I can't find that in a google search.. but whatevs.
