I think thats too soon to go with vocalizations. I'd wait until they are 30 days, or more. Especially if you don't have enough to be sure some sound one way, and several others sound another. HIghly variable at this time. Of course, this doens't mean they aren't girls, either.....

Question: My duckies are 18 days old today. Two of the duckies for sale are no longer peeping, but instead sound like whoopie cushions. Is it safe to say they are girls??

I just open the hatcher to find QUAIL every where there so many I can't count them all tell I take them out

Ok EVERBODY'S- Here's my lav chick. He's a loud little thing. And all alone. Although he's in my daughters lap right now, so being alone might work in his favor.


Look at the size difference! And no they're not together. This was just for a sec.

QJ - I think he looks very proud and confident in that pose! What an intersting shade he is.... I don't keep lavander anything. All I have is brown and white and brown and white and more bown!

Great pics, QJ! I love the new ancona sweethearts!! By the way, I noticed my ancona does not like swimming nearly as much as the cayugas. Maybe it's a breed thing??? Also, my ancona has SO much color. I feel guilty I ever thought he/she was a pekin. It looks like slate grey. Pretty!!

Marty, thanks... I'll wait a few more days, then maybe take a brief video of each of the 3 for sale to get 2nd/3rd/4th/etc opinions before I call the buyer who is waiting for her ducks.
