oh hey Julie, did you get that blind silkie roo? I saw that post on FB. He was a pretty boy.

Not yet. He is pretty, and sounds perfect. If he can't see my kids he can't come after them, lol. Roosters scare me around my kids since my buff orp roo kicked my 2 year old last spring. Twice, and knocked her down and did it again, while I was standing 10 feet away with my 4 lb baby that had just come home from the hospital finally. She had a big bruise and scratch on her back, and that's what got me to kill my first chicken.

But I like having a roo around because without one my girls are up my butt constantly. I can't even walk. They drive me crazy. So I'm hoping this works out.

ok so i just turned again.
and candled bcuz im nosey .
no peeping.
butt he is so deffinately trying to get in that air cell

veiw candling from top of egg.
you can see how big the air cell is


i was lookign for movement and noticed some back by my thumb.
so i moved the light to the side of the egg.
and this is what i see.
hopefully you can see the shadow in the front that i see?

CG-Looks like an internal pip to me, or really close. Put it up to your ear and listen for clicking, if you can hear it you've got a pipper.

theres no sound yet.
so i guess hes just working on the pip.
if hes not peeping by tonight i may just lose my mind haha .
he has me in a nervous frenzy .

CG, if you have a steth... you can listen to it breathe by placing steth on plastic window. That way, you can verify internal pipping without opening bator too often to candle.

i will deffinaletly try that.
but im still turning until i have him internall pip
not turning his egg.
but his brothers egg is nowhere near pipping
