DG, our SA ducks came from a farmin Ky, but I be.ieve he started with HWF stock, will have to go digging to be sure. Anytime you want a couple of eggs just let me know.
Iain. Love the new duckie pictures. Baby is down for a nap here, chores are done and I am pooped from being up all darn night. I think it's nap time all around. Oh and we have two more call ducks starting to hatch, one turning, one internally pipped.

I would love to get 4 or 5 eggs from you this fall, or next year. I really love the look of these birds, I almost got 3 SA ducklings with my WH order. But I didnt...

How much would 4 or 5 eggs be?

Awesome egg collection!! I can't wait to hatch out something of MY OWN. There's a difference between shipped and MY eggs. (you know what I'm sayin'.)

What's your humidity at now? And what's the eggy doing now? I bet he's positioning himself and bumping against the air cell.

im attached 2 these 2. but its one of those where they arent really mine.
but everyone of my call eggs i treat like pure GOLD.

my humidity is at like 55%
when i candles him first thing today i could still just see him pushing againt the cell.
and the other little guy like grew over night i can barely see anything at all. lastnight i could atleast c him moving and c the veins along the edges.
today hes taking up more space and i can barely c the veins.


come on guysssss HATCH HATCH HATCH mommy needs fuzzys to cuddle.

I think the move has thrown her off a tad, but now she's hiding in the coop, so I wonder what's going on in there.

Thanks guys! QJ, I am maintaining temps between 99-100 and humidity between 75-80%. The new hatchlings are causing it to rise, so every time it goes over 80, it gives me an opportunity to open bator to yank shells, move eggs, etc.

The white egg is zipping... won't be long before it hatches and I will move 1 & 2 to brooder tank.

ETA: I held the humidity between 73-75% until first baby hatched.

Around 6-7 I think. Her egg was always layed before I went and let everyone out around 8 when my daughter leaves for the bus stop. The move probably did throw her off, but I would think she would have layed her first morning because that egg was already in the making. She usually picks the same spot, there's probably somewhere hidden with an egg or two in it.
