Good morning.... I set my alarm clock to check on the new hatchlings. The one that we helped hatch that pipped on the wrong end is doing really well. So, we have 5 duckies that made it. The 6th one that was all twisted inside egg has actually made major improvement in the past 3 hours. He is still FAR away from being out of the woods, but after seeing Twist's recovery, I need to wait and see if this guy can get himself sorted out. I was thinking to offer some water laced with a pinch of sugar and a drop of polyvisol?

Oops just saw this. Yay!! I'd give it some water too. You have a dropper? Can't wait for the geese!

I dnt Think so hIs aircell is just strting to dip. I think he will be that way until friday atleast. Is neither are pipped by tomarrow (internally) im assuming muscovy. Id they were pekin they would be pipped tom

DG... Don't know what I was thinking (well I do, I was dealing with call ducks yesterday) all large fowl duck hatching eggs are $2.00 each currently.


5th Toulouse egg is growing, so that's 5/5 shipped all developing! Tellin ya, I firmly believe packing method has a ton to do with development of shipped eggs.

Side note, have a detached air cell in one of OUR eggs! How weird huh? It's growing fine, but thought I would share that a hand collected and walked to the bator egg can even have issues to over come.

Candled and tossed 1/3 of the LF duck eggs we had set. Many were first eggs from a couple of flocks and some were older when set. Still have over 3 doz eggs developing though with a good mix from all the flocks.

So what do you think is the best packing method? .......... I recently changed my method after receiving cochin eggs packed the way I pack now... The old way was good too, but this just works better for fitting 12+ - 16 eggs in the box.

I recently got some feedback from someone who got Ancona duck eggs from me and all of the eggs candled viable!

I love when my customers get good results out of shipped eggs.

I also had a package that went to Washington and was returned because the buyer had moved to a different address and didn't update their shipping address with paypal. The eggs all has bad air cells by the time they got back to me, but I popped them in the incubator to see how many would candle good after 7 days and all but 1 looked awesome even with messed up air cells and making a trip from Missouri to Washington and back to Missouri. I didn't let them incubate further because I had other eggs hatching at different times in the 1 incubator already.
