They are Wheatens and they are Ebay eggs. They are really nice colored eggs, but I'm bummed about the broken ones and wondering how viable the rest will be. We will see in about 5 or 6 days. I lost my good light for candleing, if I can find it maybe I'll be able to see whats going on with the air cells. With the backup light I have right now the eggs are just too dark to see anything.

Where did you get your marans & what kind? I have some being sent out from the SmooshOffice on Monday! From Huckleberry Farms (Where I got Bluester & Berlioz)

Adding EE and OE eggs this week, Sebastopol goose eggs every 2-3 days through spring. Oh and some call duck eggs after March 11

Setting American goose eggs in Buff, Lavender and blue in March also setting Saddle back Pomeranian goose eggs


Growing out: BBS Orps, Lavender Orps, Lavender Ameracuana, BLRW, Light Brahma, EE, BCM, and a handful of Call Ducklings

Afternoon all, felt the need to move all the furniture from the living room and steam clean the carpet. Nice when it's done, pain in the rear while doing it.
Had to laugh reading comments about how many birds others have and we getting rid of.
9 Sebastopol geese plus picking 2 more up mid March
2 African geese
3 French white Muscovy
6 Silver Appleyards
4 buff
6 khaki Cambell
9 call ducks
2 apricot wood ducks
2 white mandarin ducks
6 normal mandarin ducks
Roughly 70-90 chickens at any given time
4 meat rabbits
4 standard lop Earred rabbits
4 baby lop Earred bunnies
2 fainting goats
2 great Pyreneese
3 house cats
1 mini doxie
Oh and a flock of Bob White quail we hatched, raised and now have loose on the property. Odd little buggers come when I go out calling them in the evenings and put their food out.

WOW!!!! yeah i just cant keep up with them.. thats why i said (for me) 40 is to many.
that doesnt include the other animals i have. 8 ducks.. soon to be more this spring 3 sannan goats 3 hamsters 2 dogs (that are ours) i dog sit for my sister so on most days i have 4 boxers (2 have allergies and gets samon and barley food) one german shepard and one pug lol
two barn cats that live in the house more then the barn (NEVER AGAIN) hate the cat box YUCK!!
my fish i have guppys mollies and platy so yeah 100s of them.
we are getting rabbits this spring or next spring depending if my husband still has his job (he might be layed off as soon as soon as this job hes on is done which should be done already.)
we will be getting Californans 2 buck 4 does. really excited about that
i commend you on your abillity to keep all those animals i just cant. i tried and got way over my head in cleaning and scooping and bedding and food we just cant do it.
wait i said we... no, no we, ME just ME i cant do it all by myself.

If we lived where there was a winter we wouldn't have them all. Brooder cages are cleaned every other day. Dumped into a garden cart and flipped onto the compost pile. I have sand in the goose house (previously chicken coop) the chickens sleep on one side of it still currently while we build their open air coops.

SAND??? now thats something i havent thought about... how does that keep?

i need find some way to get more ventalation into mine. i have one little window i dont think its enough.
