Okay, finally got through all those posts.

QJ - I hope you hear something back this time. I want to bug them so bad about my ducklings just because I can't hardly wait any longer and I know that the Anconas are laying because mine are laying (I do have a light in the coop all night though) so they should get to setting them eggs soon and should be hatching my babies soon. Oh I hate waiting. I know I will have to cull the crap out of them, but I really need to add this color into my flock so I will have all colors next year.

Well I've put the incubator into lockdown for the next few days! I'll be hatching out olive eggers, some brown layers and bantam cochins........ Hope for a good hatch here because the incubating has not gone so great. First I found my incubator unplugged and all the eggs were cold and then I caught temp at 102 several times so I adjusted the thermostat and adjusted it too low and had temps of 95. Finally I've got it all figured out now, but I'm kinda worried as I've already thrown out several of the cochin eggs because they were gonners. I'm locking down 4 olive eggers 5 brown egg layers and 20 cochin eggs all the eggs candled live before lockdown, so we will see how this goes in a few days. The eggs seem a little on the late side to me and it's probably because of the temps being so jacked up.

You guys are a terrible influence on me! I just bid on some chinese goose eggs on ebay. (If I win and hatch any, I'm giving them to my mom who loves geese)

Now I'm bidding on magpies, quail, and GEESE!

Good grief, charlie brown.
Personal opinion here but there are so many much calmer and friendlier geese than Chinese. They can be some of the naughtiest with the nipping and such. Toulouse, cotton patch, embeden, Sebastopol just to name a few are much calmer breeds.
