I dont mind getting pics whenever you want them! Gives me a excuse to love on them!

Mom was laying there by herself. So I moved the puppy over from the rest to take a pic.

I really need to start checking in in the morning, so I don't come here to 20 pages to read! You even added on 3 pages in the 45 minutes its taken me to catch up!

Let see if I can remember-

Celtic - Sounds like a good months hatching! I'm so jealous. Are you sure you can't sell me a couple of goose eggs before fall???
We're dying for goslings here! I really appreciate your vast hatching experience, and how freely you share it!
Iain-Nice new brooders!
QJ-I do't know how you can keep up with everything! Say, whats Flock Master???
CG-Get those babies yet? I hope your brief absence means your getting them into your brooder
DG - I love your new babies!

I candled my turkey eggs last night - they go into lockdown next week. Of the 4 out of 7 I got on ebay, 4 were fertile last week. This week
one had died, and there is only a bloodring. I tried to candle the giant peking eggs I put in on sunday, but I must need a new light, its so hard to see anything. Im pretty sure I saw tiny veins on the 3 I checked. One of the eggs fell of the automatic turner, its so big. I had to use my chicken/duck one, since I don't have a goose egg turner. It was just to big, so it fell and cracked in the side pretty good. I guess it must have been there a couple of days. (I don't open my bators daily, I try to leave them alone as much as I can.)

I never used to candle eggs but once halfway through, but you guys haveing me thinking about doing it more. I'm afraid to check during lockdown though. I try to put them in and leave them alone, so as not to mess up the humidity or chill them overly. I don't know how you can all do it without loses. I never even worried about when they pipped internally, or changing my humidy to suit their progress. Maybe you should tell me your secret??

Hello everyone else :frow

Thanks!
Not sure if you are looking for sebs only, but
I have a friend who would sell you some pilgrim eggs. Would you like her email?

Guys! My incubator spiked to 102! Is bobby OK? BTW I have a still air!

Your good, if your thermometer is accurate. 101-102 is ideal for stills.

Just creep it back a bit.

My moms old incubator (like a 20 year old) is not as good a hovabator as even my 10 year old (but mine has a fan). Hers spiked to 105 on me, and it also dropped to 91. Poor quail. Didn't get anymore after that. I'm actually buying a new hovabator generations today, since my DH doesn't want to build me an incubaor yet. Its spring, and he does aircooled engine repiar, and says hes too busy!

I'm gonna buy plans, and make him make it for my birthday!! I want a fan, turners, and everything. A nice roomy (for a little while) cabinet bator. Then I will use my good hovabators for hatching.
