Hmmm you interested?
The older the egg, the larger the air cell. Moisture evaporates from egg increasing air cell size, regardless of fertility and dates set in bator.Speaking of candling... I gave in and tried to candle with my silly miner's headlamp this evening. Not quite as good as hubby's prized LED flashlight that I usually use. Decided after 5 to stop.
Why would my eggs have drastically different sized air cells? They were all set the same day.![]()
Are those your white chinese jaz? They are beautiful.
I have blisters on my hands from working on the coop, lol. Had to take a break. And I was playing with the ducklings. I still think they are all girls, I wish their voices would hurry and change.
Hey give me it's symptoms. Mines flippy when it gets knocked over.
Finally! Someone else who uses Sav a chic. I swear by that stuff.
Weak from hatching, peeps weakly, one side seems weaker than the other, often found on its back because he/she can't turn over.
Update: I think hubby fixed him/her. After days of sav-a-chick, having legs taped and a little TLC, Flippy is getting around and hasn't been stuck on it's back for several hours. Little booger is even harassing the other chick now.
I suspect it was either a very exhausting hatch for the little one or it may have/had neurological issues. Will see...
