Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Hello all.

Still only the one baby, and no additional pips from the other two promising eggs.

I ordered my bator 9 days ago. Still nada. Call today, and the lady at gqf says it'll take an extra week, since I ordered on the internet. What kind of bird poop is that??? I wrote them an email telling them they should warn people who are ordering onthe internet that it'll take an extra week this way. Like I told them, If I'd known that, I'd have just called them!

Not a happy camper.

Just got 13 eggs in yesterday, and am expecting another couple dozen today and tomarrow. There certainly is not room in my set up bators, except the one I dono't trust.

I wish more turkeys would hatch, I need the *%#$@ space!

Lol, that's why I haven't got one. The one I wanted from brinsea is on backorder and wouldn't be here until I've already hatched. All they have locally I've found are still air lg's, so for now I'm just using what I have. It's going to be a really tight fit until the ducks hatch once the turkey eggs get here.

Sick Chick just died. She was doing so good and then took a turn for the worse this afternoon.

Fiona is being AMAZING to these duckies. But tell me something.. she is just peeping to me like she wants something.. I can't figure out what she wants! She has feed, water, I just changed her box and she has a heat lamp. Is it possible she just wants me?

The kids are all starting to wake up. Ahhh!

Also, #8 has pipped finally. And #5 is out.

I'm seriously thinking about taking our my turners, and hand turning for the extra space. (sigh) I HATE hand turning, but I hate losing valuable eggs more, so I guess I'd better just get to it.

I'd be a lot less frustraited if I didn't have only one turkey right now. He's lonely, so I've got him on my shirt over my boobs, with a purple shirt on top of him. We keep talking to each other.

Yay for the pip Cass!!

Pidgey: Emu's scare me needlessly. But I can't hatch them because of my "Hatching Rule #5"...

Which is????? Anybody????

That's awesome.

Something along the lines of not hatching anything that has the possibility of eating you and your children (and their sandwiches) down the road?

Awww. You don't have any quail babies to put with him? Mine aren't laying and I have no room, or I'd hatch some now to have some for my turkeys. They'll just have to deal with chicks or ducklings to show them the ropes.

Don't hatch anything that is bigger than you!

Technically it's don't hatch anything that can kick your %$^. But it won't let me post that. Plus DG is a youngin'.
