Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Whats the receipe? We tell Bruce he acts like Shrek. He even kinda looks like him, minus the green skin and cone ears.
Heres my recipe....... Easiest in the world to make.... fill a TALL glass with chopped ice, add 2 pinches of margarita salt, twist lid, lift bottle, pour into tall glass, give a swirl and drink it down

Thats too bad. He's really got great veins, and they are so close. These ducks are important, so I will probobly make this an assisted hatch. I've read Petes thread, and I got an A in A & P, so I guess I'll go sterilize that dissection kit, get the hatching kit togather, and start the teeny tiny bator just for his personal hatch. I've got the new Hova (I added a computer fan) set at 99.5, but lockdowns not untilt he 21st. Hope he makes it. He's got brothers and sisters in there too, 6, but you know how it is. When you order expensive eggs, every one is important.

I think there's a bigger chance of it not making it, but one of my call's hatched from a ruptured cell egg.

CG- I havn't seen Celtic since this morning. Dont give up on hatching yet, no matter what.

Hey Marty, that is how I feel about the 2 Cayuga eggs. Am surprised to see movement stll tonight on day 22. I am planning to help them. All 8 Ancona "take a chance" eggs are rocking, including the one with the bad crack. I have 3 blues, so I will get to see if they hatch out more pretty colored babies.:D

I also see spiders in all 6 new Cayuga eggs on day 4. I have a great feeling about them!

And, dare I say it.. I think I see a teeny beginning spider in the one intact air cell Toulouse egg from Erin. Still holding out hope for 2 others too.

So sorry to hear about Pocket
I had to send Pocket to the Rainbow Bridge today. She was looking pretty rough, so I ran her water in the sink for a swim. But when I put her in, she just sank. Her legs had atrophied to the point that she couldn't swim. So I loved on her a bit, and then did what I had to do.

I'm a little heartbroken right now, so...

RIP Pocket Duck:

Evening all,CG got your PM, deep breath girlie.

Had a wrong end pipper Sebbastopol and Khaki duck. The Sebbie is head out for the night so all is good. The other Sebbie hatched about 10 minutes ago so I washed the goop off and dried her off good.

Had 5/5 shipped Toulouse geese grow and hatch. The first to hatch died over night for unknown reasons. Chalked up to failure to thrive post hatch. The other 4 are going strong and very quiet.

35 ducks total went into lock down this weekend, half have hatched. Other half are zipping. They leave Tuesday, so they need to get moving.

We have Sebastopols leaving this week too. Currently have 5 in the brooder, 1 hatched, 1 half out. 5 set to be picked up this week so we are right on track with numbers with the two blue toned Sebbies not being offered available. We are getting a lot more color than expected, so we have hidden color genetics this year which is very exciting. The lavenders and lilacs and buffs will be fun to have start hatching. Hoping for a saddleback or two as well.

Then we have the new splash gander and saddleback goose we will adding to the flock.

Hubby is finding that he is only good for about half a day, then is worn out and too tired to even enjoy walking around to see the ducks and geese. Speaking of tired, he is asleep here on the couch so I am off till morning. Someone do a wrap up post so I can catch up again. I always read all the over night posts over coffee in the mornings.
