I enter our tomatoes in tomatoe tasting contests. My folks are and were organic gardeners, and so am I. I raise every color of brandywine, cherokee purple, big rainbow, parks whopper, mortage lifter, and my favorite grape tomatoe ever - amish yellow pear.Pink catface and purple tomatoes are just beyond delicious, but so thin skinned that one must simply grow them. Yeah, could start and tomatoe chat. Maybe we could discuss which poultry tastes best with each variety.![]()
Wow. Big Rainbow. I've seen pictures. I could only dream of a tomato as big as those sometimes get! I actually got two beautiful Oxhearts this past season. Mmm. Right off the vine, warm. Heaven. Just as tasty: sliced with a little cajun seasoning.
