I enter our tomatoes in tomatoe tasting contests. My folks are and were organic gardeners, and so am I. I raise every color of brandywine, cherokee purple, big rainbow, parks whopper, mortage lifter, and my favorite grape tomatoe ever - amish yellow pear.

Pink catface and purple tomatoes are just beyond delicious, but so thin skinned that one must simply grow them. Yeah, could start and tomatoe chat. Maybe we could discuss which poultry tastes best with each variety.

Wow. Big Rainbow. I've seen pictures. I could only dream of a tomato as big as those sometimes get! I actually got two beautiful Oxhearts this past season. Mmm. Right off the vine, warm. Heaven. Just as tasty: sliced with a little cajun seasoning.

I love BLT's with fresh tomato and turkey bacon.

I was invited to my friends birthday party today, on friday, from 6:30 p.m. to midnight.... Im gonna die....

Pear tomatoes are cute and yummy!!! Marty have an sugestions on a tomatoe for folks with acid reflux? Mom loves tomatoes but the acid stinks, hubby sufferes from ulcers and loves tomatoes. Yellow is the only low acid ones I know of.

There is a white tomatoe, low in acid. Let me get back to you in a few.

There are also white tomatoes, such as Great White and White Wonder. They should also be low acid.

They are tasty too! I actually think there's a low-acid red tomato out there, but it's a hybrid.

I don't even feel like thinking about gardens right now. Been sooo busy with all these ducklings and eggs hatching and planting stuff for them. I need a break, and now I've got to get things going for the garden quick. Got my grass/wildflower mixture planted a few days ago in the chicken yard. Been throwing handfuls of the quails birdseed out there too cause why not? Just want something besides dirt in there for them. The daffodils hubby dug up and planted in there for them are blooming nicely, and the chickens are being good and leaving them alone. I planted some rhubarb and asparagus in there too. Had to put it somewhere, bought too much lol. It's caged off until it's set, and so is the grape vine I planted along their fence. If it doesn't rain tomorrow morning I'm planting morning glories and peas. Need more tomato seeds started too. My 7 year old Evelyn will eat a pint of cherry or grape tomatoes a day, she loves them. I also need to take some cuttings to start rooting so I can grow something on the chickens fence to give them some shade in the run. And need to clean out some of the brush and trees that have been growing along the fence, so I can try blackberries there again. I'm so happy to be spending my days outside again though, and the kids are loving being outside too.

Ace 55, Jet Star, marvel, golden sunray, yellow pair, sweet 100's cherry are all low or lower acid tomatoes, that have good sweetness too. Golden Sunray is a LARGE yellow/orange tomatoe w/ a nice blush to it. Yellow Pair has extra antioxidents. White wonder is one of the whites. All of these are rated well for thier flabor as well, not just low acid.

It is bad to have a tomoatoe w/ low acid and no sweetness = no flavor at all.

Most of these are hybrid. I think some maybe ture to type, but I'm not sure.
