Good morning!
Ebay bidding announcement... I am bidding on the silver appleyard eggs sold by dprather. There is another bidder p****p. Hope I'm not bidding against any of you, because I need duck eggs to set with my new toulouse eggs, and hubby wants SA instead of cayuga!!!
Hatching announcement: 5 of the ancona eggs have beaks against shell, getting ready to externally pip. 3 more look to be internally pipping still. 3 are unsure so they are in goose bator so I can keep an eye on them. Lockdown has officially begun and I am raising humidity to 70+% now. So far, everything looks great!
Goslings insisted on coming inside once it got dark, even with heat lamp on outdoor pen. But as soon sun rises, they go back outside... as they are beating the crap out of each other when they get bored.
Morning Iain - Happy bidding! Good Luck on your eggs. Nobody else has mentioned bidding thus, so go for it. You know how it is, some still bid against you, the just don't advertise it. So who knows??
Morning Peeps!![]()
Lucky lives on. He can't really stand, seems a little slow on using his R.leg, and a little weird about his head, but overall is stronger, and I found two poops on his paper towel, which I consider to be apositive. If that part didn't work, the rest was wasted effort. He is moving about the bator, however he's doing it. Still sleeps and rests a lot, but I'm sure is holding his head up a bit better.
He is still getting drink of sugar water (I just dip his beek, and he's going for it). I will be making a watered down mash in an hour or two, when he gets his brooder. I have button quail going on lockdown tonight, so gotta clean up, sterilize, and see if I can get my still air gova to get to and hold a temperature of 99.5. So far, not w/o a fan.Maybe I just need to give it longer.![]()
Thanks Sue!! By the way, I just posted info on float test for you on goose hatching thread.![]()
