Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Hope everyone doesn't kill me for having a hundred pages of reading of my step by step assisted hatching of eggs!!

LOL! My inner duck voice is telling me to hatch him out and hope he stays calm in soap dish to finish absorbing yolk sac, which has been getting smaller hour by hour....

Hmm...as long as he can breathe (which, if he is screaming his head off, he can) then I'd leave him for a while. The best place to spend time absorbing your yolk is in an egg shell.

70%, that is why I have not done it yet. Besides, I still have to free the other point end pipper's head first.... and who knows what other problems will appear while I study the bator.

But if you recall, I went to sleep last week on night 26, with eggs pipping and even zipping. When I woke up, all were dead. That ain't happening tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never. It's helpful for people who've never done it before. :)

Oh, and 70%... BACON...

Now Quackrrs and I have given you different advice. Sorry, LOL.

I'd say that in the end you will have to help this one all the way. But I'd just delay it till that yolk sac is pretty much gone (as long as he appears to still be strong enough to maintain his yoga position).

Follow your inner duck!

Totally. You are doing a good job. Hatching regrets are usually " I wish I had helped more" not "I wish I had left them alone".
