Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

I would but down here there just aren't any safe places. The only way I'd be safe is if I'm out in the woods with my dogs, guns, and lots of burying space.

LOL @ lots of burying space.

What grade do you teach?

Really? lol.

Nope. I'll be right there with ya. I really want these Sebbies.

I actually found a house exactly like I described for sale but the owners decided to stay

we both have desk top computers plus I have a laptop. no fancy phones here, just DH and oldest boy are puter geeks

Quieter then yours by the sound of it! I just had to explain to my dad why someone would pay 10.00 for a week old gosling, lol

I laugh because just earlier today I had to explain to my brother that selling a goose for 15 dollars is a good deal. He tried to convince me he'd rather pay 15 for a baby than a adult

time to change States?

I'm truly beginning to wonder

Ok, now that's exactly why hubby and I decided on an Anatolian. We love big protective dogs. Our lab Shiloh would hurt someone. I have no doubt. She is Very protective. It's worse when the kids are outside. It's like she's on "patrol". The other little lab/german shepard mix is only barely a year old but she is starting to get to be the same way. Why is that? To the Dog people.. is it the dog or is it us? We don't teach them to be protective.. they just are. Is it because we are such a tight knit family? Or "pack" I guess. Or is it because we don't go to dog parks and "socialize" our dogs , because we never go anywhere really. We're home body types. I don't know..

Ok, I'm rambling again.. I'll stop.. carry on.

You are part of their "pack"...the pack sticks together and protects one another. Also, some breeds are more protective than others....and females seem to be even more so.

I'm a little worried that I'm going to have to go to work tomorrow and leave hubs in charge of duckling watch.

Nah, just a bit jealous that I don't get to be here.

Everyone have a good night! Hopefully there will be baby pics tomorrow!
