I took the photos before I brought you up your babies. How's the gold-laced hen doing?

She is doing very well. And, she is so gorgeous!

Okay, FINALLY I have proof that I have a pair of Tolbunt Polish. . . . Here's some eye-candy (teenage version) for you all:

My frizzled pullet, quite a bossy little girl, honestly.

My cockerel, on the shy side. I love the fact that they have very little white compared to other Tolbunts!

Pullet face - A little wet!

I agree, your pullet looks like a boy.

We spent over an hour sitting in Gretchen's Tolbunt pen last week trying to tell the boys apart from the girls. The boys have more of a "stringy" feather, compared to the girls "puffy" feathers.

You can also tell this difference with any frizzled Polish. There is a huge difference in male and female feathers.

His/her crest feathers are wet in that photo. . .

His/her comb is non existant, the nasal opening scoops up in the same manner that my WCB hens do, he/she has no saddle feathers or hackle feathers developing, and absolutely no sickle feathers. The cockerel already has a tall red comb, saddle feathers, hackle feathers, huge sickle feathers, and a deep, loud voice coming in.

I really hope you guys are wrong. . . .

If it is a boy, I'm still keeping it. With quite some huge disappointment and a name change, but I'll deal.

Edit: After much photo taking, comparing, comparing, looking through again. . . Looks like I just have a very "girlish" cockerel.

I guess this means I'm on the list of people who wish they had Tolbunts, but instead got a roo. . . or two.

Still going to keep em and cross them with my Polish though. Nothing's going to stop me with my Tolbunt projects.

Sorry that they are both roos, but I wouldn't give up either. They are such beautiful birds and yours should breed very well since they don't have as much white as a lot of others do. I hope that you can find some gorgeous girls to go with your boys.
