This means FOUR of my FIVE hatched chicks are roos..

texasgal, that is a male. Pea combed males often have those very wide combs with the three rows of "peas" showing, while the girls are closer to maturity before their comb shows more than a center ridge.

Thanks speckledhen .. He's my only Ameraucana chick, so I had NOTHING to compare him with. It was VERY obvious early on with the SF chicks .. the males had combs EARLY .. and the little pullet still has NOTHING...

Poo .. i guess I'm either hatching some more eggs.. or looking for some Ameraucana pullets.. hehe
