Toulouse Geese Thread

Haha! Oh most definitely! Would much rather deal with spraying the porch clean than listening to them all complain

How funny looks like someone is giving a piece of his/her mind lol

I have 2 girls Moose and Edna. Edna is always "talking" she never is quiet even when she sleeps she's snoring. Moose is quiet and regal. I had toulouse a few years ago and I don't remember them being chatter boxes. Does anyone else have a chatter box or am I just lucky? I LOVE my girls and would like to find a full male for them but am afraid since my last male got mean during the spring and killed many of my chickens.

Our 3 boys are quite the talkers! Always chattering and honking at us when we talk to them. And they have discussions amongst themselves constantly. I love it!

My Toulouse female loves to talk and I hear her mumbling to herself quite a bit too, and if I start talking to her she always has to tell me whats been going on in the yard. She is my talkative one of my 4 then comes my Buff female my 2 ganders usually just holler.

@Tsumo My Toulouse gander is my meanest he would probably injure any of my chickens or ducks so I have to keep the geese separate from the rest of my flock once breeding season begins. Even now if he gets a chance he'll gab a chicken I have caught him may a time with feathers in his mouth.

Hi everyone Toulousemama here,
Well Gertrude and Gilda are now officially fly girls.. They aren't to good on landing but they are flying higher all the time...one time they will land in the soybean field the next time in our neighbors horse corral never knew they would or could.. It's amazing. Gertrude is a lot bigger and thicker thru than Gilda and a lot more powerful. She seems to be more dominant.. She is the one who decides what the adventure will be on any given day...well guess that's all for now.
Until next time... Toulousemama signing off

I've just had my two Toulouse a few months and was worried when they began to fly but they don't seem to want to go too far. Hubby offered to clip their wings, but that just doesn't seem right.

Do any of you worry that they'll go too far or just get themselves in trouble? One of mine landed on the roof and when she flew off she landed in the empty swimming pool...Will they learn more 'control'?

Hi. This is my first time on this thread. My three Toulouse geese fly after me when I go to the mailbox. Sometimes they overshoot the mark and land outside the fence but they follow me right back in. Last month roofers came and ripped the old roof off the house. All the animals are free range and everybody freaked out and hid. I went out an hour later to try and calm everyone down. Found the geese in the field behind my property. Had to open the fence to get them back inside. I really love my geese. They are just sweet.
