My TSC had chicks on Sunday 2-25. I came home with 5 BSL.View attachment 1279679

How did u manage to walk away with 5 chicks? Thought their policy was minimum 6 purchase hence while I probably won't ever purchase from them until I got more land for them to roam on.

When I last visited TSC, I asked if and when Columbian Wyandottes would be coming to their store. The helper just pulled out a list of all the different breeds they would be getting and dates of delivery to the store. Unfortunately, they won't get any Columbian, which have been scarce this year, so I ordered from Ideal Poultry...will pick up on the 14th. So, if you know what you are looking for, try asking when they will have them.

I went to a new one over 30 min from me and they had black partridge and blue turkens! Also had the smallest chicks ever and one unlabeled bantam. I wanted it so bad but I didn’t know what it was . It was solid yellow small and had the fuzziest feet!

I have asked when they would have certain breeds and they always say "we just get what the hatchery sends us "
I hate it but I can't change it

Last year I did pick up a few but waiting about three months for people to post on local adds that they didn't want there "Easter present" chickens anymore and actually got ALOT of birds for nothing.

Sad, but smart! Give some chicks a much needed home!

Checked yesterday and they had straight run gold laced Wyandottes, straight run leghorns, assorted straight run bantams, and Rhode island red pullets. That's in northern NM.
