Oh I am so excited for you. I hope if I am lucky that at least a couple will hatch for my daughters Science project. I only have a dozen of the store bought 'fertile' eggs and 13 of my chickens eggs.

I have never used an incubator so if I can survive this I can do anything. lol

Congratulations! and the fuzzy butts are precious and I love them.

Day 10. All 7 of my store eggs in the bator were clear, plus one of my cornish, the other 5 are under my broody and haven't checked them. Looks like I might be out of this thread.......for now.

Have 33 eggs left, counting ones under broody

Well
I went and got myself a dozen of the fertile eggs from good foods before my incubator got here so i could check it out.

ended up i opened the whole dozen cept for one and they wernt fertile. I put the one i didnt open in my bator along with an assortment of my own fertile(i hope)
ones and fired it up!

I have the calender marked to candle in 5 or 7 days and we will see!!

Ive got 15 in there..... couple of silkie crosses, white silkie, and then RIR and orpington mixes. Since this is my first hatch, i decided to try and hatch my own before buying shipped eggs.

AND i couldnt resist.... picked myself up 6 RIR chicks at TSC 3 days ago;) hubby better get to work on that coop addition!

Day 7 for me here. I am going to try to candle tonight the 'fertile' store bought eggs and my hens eggs.

I am so nervous and scared of nothing being in them. I hope so for my daughters sake that they are at least a few viable.
