Now that they have a taste for them they will take them all out. That’s what happened when my girls had rabbits. They broke into the cage after taken a baby out and killed all the rest. Put a stop to it now and protect the rest of your flock with Fort Knox. ASAP!!!
Pit Bull will continue to kill now.

I have been on this earth for 46 years and it seems like I have been taking it up the tailpipe for 36 of those years. People do whatever they want in the end and never get punished. If one action of mine infringed on anyone else's rights, they would be ready to put me under the jail and yet some folks seem to get away with murder(figuratively speaking of course). I am just so tired of all the "oh well" attitude I get from everyone else. I get told all the time "what kind of Christian are you"? I guess from this day forward, it will be the kind who is not a door mat. Don't get me wrong, I love all the empathy I get from you fine folks and the good advice I get from the rest of you but it is everyone else who is really starting to grate on me. In the end I will just have to get over it and hope they others get their just deserts...Thank you all for listening to my soapbox rantings.....

Well at least your neighbor is employed. now to get him to buy shock collars and put up barriers for his pets. That is what my neighbors have and they don’t go past it. Love my neighbors. Maybe he’ll replace your girls and help build a sturdier coop and college his dogs. Christian thing to do and all. I am sure once you talk to him it will work out. Good luck and keep us updated.

He is responsible for containing and managing his dogs.

Fine if you just want to rant, this thread will go onandonandonandonand with such sentiment, but if you want to 'fix' the situation, plenty have offered viable advice that you don't seem interested in.

I will calm down and talk to my neighbor when I see him again, thank you all for your inputs. I will also fortify my chicken tractors to prevent further loss of animals. thank you all..

I agree... To simply pick out a pit and say they're are all like that is not correct. I've owned several and none attacked people or animals. If an animal is correctly trained, usually odds are it won't act that way. People don't put time or effort into their pits then blame the dog, when they should blame themselves because they failed the dog. Training requires time, money, and a professional.

At no point was it indicated that all dogs are the same however, dogs *in general* have dog instincts that often includes a prey drive and pack instincts. However, ALL dogs will bite given the right circumstances, even the dogs owned by people who’ve invested time and training, and the dogs that are generally well behaved.
