Treating Tapeworms - Under Construction

If the others are laying then it probably did come from her. Any chance you can get her to a vet? If it is an infection she needs powerful antibiotics.

Yes, I can take her but I am not sure this vet (the only avian vet in town...) is very knowledgeable... but, yes. I will do that. I was waiting to see any other symptom but she went back to do her thing a few hours late and it is fine now beside the not-laying. This is 10 days later and she looks happy.. no eggs but happy...

Well, my EE had an egg bound a week before I found that, it could be from her too...? She is laying but a lot less, she used to lay almost everyday (5 a week) and now she is laying 2 a week only.

It is like everything happened at the same time in the same month!.

1. weather change to super hot summer 100F
2. big snake scared everyone
3. round worms, Wazine
4. the egg bound of my EE
5. That blob thing on nesting box
6. tapeworm, now
7. round worm again! today

.... what is next!? :he :barnie

Thanks!

Call the vet and explain everything, and email those pictures too. Ask them how much the exam fee for two birds is and if it's not too much maybe you could take both hens.

This is routine chicken keeping issues that you're dealing with. Be glad you're not dealing with something much worse, such as a respiratory disease or some non treatable disease that would require you to cull your flock. Hang in there and be positive, you and your chickens will get through this.
There's a lot of folks here that'll help you with excellent advice. Keep up the good work, you're a good chicken mama. :D

I know... I had one with respiratory disease when she was 3 months old I treated her and thought everyone was going to die but now she is 14 months old, she is the one I think lay that blob...
I am positive, believe me, since I started this wonderful life a little over a year ago, I am dealing ALWAYS with something related to chicken's health issue, I had a couple dying on my arms. I know it can be a lot worse so I am thankful all I am dealing at this time is worms BUT I am more thankful for having people like you taking time to help the newbies ;) so we can be more people caring for this great ladies.

Thanksssss

The medium size should be safe, but it's more than you need to give.

Hi!!
I tried to give the Equimax to the hens today with not luck! The paste (cream) size is so small that to make sure I am giving them the right amount I used a piece of bread and they will not eat it, so I mixed with dog's canned food (they love this) and same thing! so I waist a whole syringe on samples, so I am going to the store to by more and I wonder if I can dilute the cream into water so I can put it into a small syringe and then directly into their beaks? Do you have any other tricks?
