Hello, I have a female hen (about a year old) who I'm pretty sure has some type of internal parasites/worms and was hoping I could get some insight on others experience with using treatments like VetRx or Verm-x (or other recommendations you may have).
About a month ago I noticed that she was really skinny, lethargic and had stopped laying. So I separated her from the others into a spare exoterra I have. I currently have her with an exoterra heat mat with a heat bulb over top which she stays near most of the time. She has gone back to eating normally but has not gained much weight at all and her breastbone is really protruding. So far the only treatment I have administered is providing treats that are high in protein and fat along with Nutridrench into her water.
Any further advice on this would be greatly appreciated as I consider my Quails as pets and hate losing them.
Also, there are no avian/livestock vets in my area and even there were I would not be able to afford one.
