I have recently started volunteering at a farm, and there were these big seed pods all over the ground:
(this picture was taken after I had already chopped the end off)
I counted 21 seed section thingies total. Out of those, 5 had bugs in them. I got 16 seeds.
5 of these seeds were put in a ziploc bag in the sun with a damp paper towel. These are on the windowsill in our kitchen. This group was labeled group 1.
5 of the seeds were put in tiny plastic pots on my windowsill. This group was labeled group 2.
5 of the seeds were put in those plant thingies that you get plants from the garden store in. These are on the windowsill in our kitchen, which gets a significant amount more light than the one in my room.. This was labeled as group 3.
Each seed was photographed before I planted it, and has a label, A-E. For example, the first seed in group 1 is seed 1A.
The extra seed is labeled as seed 4, and is in a larger pot on my desk. (I forgot to take a pic) I know this isn't a perfectly controlled experiment, but I'm going to document the results here.
