My girls are intimidating to anyone not familiar with them. The joke is I won't get robbed with them perched on my back porch rail. And of course they bark at anyone they don't know. And boy can they spot a hawk a mile off!

For some reason I just can't get my sitter to give Daisy any lap time while I'm gone. :rolleyes: Boy will I hear about that when I get home. Daisy will have her beak out of joint when I get back.

So I'm at our National Specialty with folks here from all over the world. And I just happened to find another person who has two Bourbon Red turkey hen pets! At the Health & Genetics Seminar we spent an hour in the back of the room showing each other our turkey pictures. Surrounded by knowledgeable dog people from all over the world & we can't stop talking about our turkeys! Ya'll have ruined me!

I'm home and I'm sick. I let Daisy & Annie out to graze in the big yard. Sat out there with them for quite awhile. No sign that either bird needed to lay an egg. All was calm & sunny. Went into the house & fell asleep. Thunder and someone frantically beating on my door woke me up. Daisy had hopped the 6 foot fence & was four yards down the road. I ran down there in a hurricane with no shoes. I finally saw her & started calling her. She called back, but did start heading toward me. I grabbed her & made the run home. No idea if it was the storm or the need to lay an egg that made her hop the fence. Most of my neighbors know her. Just grateful she stopped in the pouring rain to let me know she was loose. :rolleyes:
