Trying To Help A Chicken Egg Hatch

yes. from my experience once the membrane gets dried out it is near impossiable to hydrate it enough for the chick to break through

It will often dry fast, making it impossible to keep it moist without holding the incubator open. As has already been said you need to decide what you're going to do, opening the incubator repeatedly or holding it open will kill the other chicks.

ok soi have talked to friends who have hatched many times and they said u need to think if u are going to hurry up and just help it completely out and do it in one quick opening of the bator so you dont risk loosing the other ones or leave it and let it go to save the other ones

Well, the egg is moving alot now....and why are the veins still so big and red? when will they get small? i need alot of info on the subject so please share anything at all that you know

i dunno when they will get small but it they are still largeand red that means the chick is not ready yet. wrap it in a warm moist paper towel and leave it for 2-3 hours do not open the bator anymore after you put the paper towel around the egg.

what do you mean by not ready to hatch yet? you mean like, its not all developed yet? or theres still yolk left? what do you mean?? and whjy wait 3 hours? and what do i do when 3 hours is up?

because it will start to re-hydrate the membrane. when it is ready to hatch the veins will get smaller and the blood will disappear from the membrane. once that happens if it still isnt hydrated enough and it hasnt come out itself then you will have to finish helping it.
