TSC Chick Days!

The two TSC (Pocomoke, MD and Salisbury, MD) near me have told me chicks will be in on March 28th. Though the 28th is a Sunday, so I thought that was an interesting day to have chickies delivered. I've called multiple times, you know, just in case they change their minds.

One of the times I called I asked what they would be selling and got told "well you know, the reds in straight runs of pullets, and banshees too." I smacked myself on the head, drew in a breath, prepared my corrections in my head, and sighed, "Ok. Thanks. Bye."

So it'll be a surprise to find out what they actually have at my TSC.

They started here March 3rd, and to my dismay I have to wait another week before I can go check them out. I know full well I can not go into the store without bringing some home... and i'm going on vacation for a week! Patience, patience, patience! The suspense is killing me tho!

Last time I had to go they said they were coming in today.
I may go this evening to see. I know the kids will love to get out of the house.

They told me that mine would be march 14, don't see how as that is a sunday, but I went just in case (I needed some supplies anyways

) Anyways, they are all set up for them, but wont be here until sometime this week.

Fairview, TN TSC has been set up for them for a couple of weeks, but as of Saturday didn't have any. The clerk said she thought the shipment was rescheduled because of the unexpected cold spell. But the Co-op in Fairview had some, but I didn't ask the breeds. So did the Farm Depot - Australorps, Buff Orpingtons, Brown Rock?. I got 6 babies 3 wks ago at the Co Op in Dickson and 6 more the week after that. They had some this past weekend and are expecting more at different intervals through March and April. Theirs always seem to be the most healthy.

I was just in my TSC today. They were supposed to get their chicks this morning, but didnt recieve them. Manager said probably tomorrow.

Why do they have the chick minimum now? When did that start?

My local TSC got theirs in today. I went in hoping for some Khaki Campbells and maybe some banties (all my regular chicks were ordered from a different feed store) but all they had were Pekins, BSL, Golden Comets, and GLW/RIR/NH straight run. They told me the whole order did not arrive and they would be getting chicks/ducklings for the next five weeks so hopefully they'll get what I want eventually.

which hatchery does TSC get their chicks from, anyone know?
