We have 6 girls, we have been feeding them layer PELLETS, the other day I needed to get more feed and went to a different feed store and they had laying CRUMBLES. It looks like the sweepingS from the floor. Is there a difference between laying pellets and laying crumbles other than the look, and will the girls eat both the same.

The girls are about 9 months old and have been giving us eggs since mid april

Any and all suggestions will be appreciated!

I am pretty sure there is no difference nutritionally between pellets and crumbles. I think (I'm not certain – those wiser, correct me if I'm wrong) that crumbles might be chopped up pellets. Every once and a while, I find a pellet-shaped crumble in our bags.

Crumbles are basically ground up pellets or to put it another way, pellets are crumbles formed into pellets.
I have found much less waste with the pellets.
