UK pigeon owners

Pics
Told my neighbour (not the horrible one) that I was getting some pigeons, it went down like a ton of bricks:oops:! She older and scared of them!
Here is a suggestion. Show your neighbors, The Kicker also, a Picture of these. You are considering getting a mated pair.. Tell them they weigh 45 kilo. AND SAY TO THEM,,,,,,
DO YOU FEEL LUCKY NOW,,,, DO YOU????

That'd work! Shed probably have a heart attack!:lau

She'd probably just sit on my shoulder, or on the back or on the handles of my bike. :p She can fly very well, but she seems to prefer being on the ground or perched on something unless in a hurry, like heading to food. :lau

As for why she is so friendly, I am at a loss also! She shows signs of having possibly being hand raised though.
That's so nice to have a bond like that with an animal. You WILL have to take her everywhere with you now!!

I've been looking at prices and they can be anywhere between £5-30. More if they are pedigree.

A homing pigeon that didn't come back to him... I would imagine he'd have no issue with giving it to you. I can't see him having any purpose for a bird like that if he's a racer...

Well it's been a busy evening. I've nearly got the loft together. There hasn't been two bits of wood the same. All the uprights different lengths the floor was wider at one end than the other! The roof wasn't level. And the doors are wonky! I've had to start from scratch with it. But it's alot better and nearly done.

I've ran out of any meaningful leghths of wood so I couldn't finish the top nesting box. I'm going to double it up as a capture box with the bobwires and a hatch that can double as a landing platform!
