The pigeon prosthesis arrived today.

I'm not sure if I am going to use it. He is putting more weight on it now but it is still quite badly swollen.

What a doll!

I'm soooo happy! I threw caution to the wind with boomer and squeak today. I went to let boomer out and she wouldn't fly off, just sat on the trap. Squeak was desperately trying to get out with her so I let him out. Then neither would fly off so I let the other two younsters out and they all flew off together. They stayed together and just flew laps of the house up and down all over. Never really went out of sight! All four flying together . After an hour or so boomer and squeak came in together and the other two a bit later. This is great! My goal is in sight!

Im runnin all over byc playing catch up.. been out sick since Friday eve. Doin much better now tho.

Glad your better. I thought someone was missing! It rubbish being poorly. My kids had a sticky bug about 2 weeks ago. I just stayed in the garden!
More good news, I now have 5 that fly together! I let papa pigeon out with boomer, squeak, bubble and Boris and they all flew nicely together, sort of! And they all returned together! Now I have papa pigeon #2 to work on and the two mama pigeons! Oh and the 5 other younsters and poorly pidgy who is actually looking great! I may let him out of the sick bay this weekend. See how he is. hoping he'll be OK with the others.

Yeah.. i caught it from ds3 who started with symptoms 2 days after we got back from vacation. Darn kids..

Yes. It's left over mash potato, carrots, cabbage, peas basically everything you would have with a roast dinner and fried up! It is delicious!
I'm just sat watching the world go by (just finished work!) and I just thought...I had ONE pigeon not so long ago, how come I now have 14?!
