What breed was she? white eggs or brown?

She was a ISA Brown. Brown eggs. I don't think she layed ever since I had her!

She was 3 from hatch, or from when you got her already spent. That would make sense to me as sexlinks don't live much over 5 or 6 years. Would have expired from old age.

She will have been 3 from hatch. I've had them about 18 months. She was having internal problems. She was eating well enough but she just kept losing weight. They have all been wormed in November. She had good days and bad days. This last week she was struggling.

I lost Hope, one of my ex battery hens last night. She was nearly three. She had been up and down for a while and last night I knew she was going to go. Her life ended better than it started.

RIP Hope and bless you for giving her the experience of a good life!

You can see when they fly that they don't have the finesse or power of a racer. If, when, maybe I manage to get a larger loft with an avairy I may get a pair. They do look good!
