He is gorgeous! Definitely a keeper in my book, meat bird or not.

Definitely not a SFH. His coloring looks to be caused by white leakage, not mottling like a SFH. He also has a meat bird shape and came from assorted chicks at Atwoods (which are usually assorted heavies), which would not have a rare breed like SFH.

SFH does look the closest in coloring I've seen but I don't believe thats what he is. Calico Princess is close but still not quite.
Guess he's just special lol
He's my favorite of the 23 chickens so he won't be going anywhere.

He is a red broiler cockerel. I have a same breed hen with the same colours

Agreed. He doesn’t appear to have the mottling (white spots) of a calico Orpington or a SFH. He reminds me of a red ranger- I’ve seen some of those with white feathers.
