Update--sorry I haven't been around much....husband's surgeries

OMG I really feel for him right now.
I was supposed to start all my surgery in April, but my mom passed away, so I had to wait until the first part of May, but nine days after my mom, my dad passed away. That was a trip to Oklahoma for us and had to move back even more work. I've really been trying to get soome things done, but right now I'm sitting here trying to get stitches to come come trough where they split my gums to cut out the bone. The last dentist cracked several of my teeth when she couldn't get an instrument tight enough, so those were beyond saving plus she cracked my jaw bone and it just got broken again to fix that. Now I have some horrible implant I need in my gums where they had to remove the bone. You'd think They'd do that while it's already opened up. I was hoping to have fun this summer and it's been just one thing after another. I tell you I have had 6 kids and an earache or dental problems almost kill me. And my last was a C-section and the first 5 were all natural births (yes I'm stupid), but this pain?????????? OMG

Sorry I hijacked.............Just meant to say I can relate to his pain. Get that poor baby off the floor! LOL

Hey, don't know if he can use this, but I just remembered what my surgeon told me after I had all 5 of my wisdom teeth taken out. Stuff a slightly moist unused black tea bag next to the wounds to help prevent infection and swelling (I'm probably too late - but someone else could maybe use this tip). Anyway, it worked for me! It tasted horrible, and gave me a caffeine headache (the reason I don't usually drink much coffeee/tea to begin with) but I was in agony anyhow, so I stayed propped up in bed with those things in my mouth all afternoon and night after the surgery. Next day I hardly had any swelling and when I went for my follow up the surgeon couldn't believe how fast it was healing - he even asked what I had done, and I told him I'd slept with those darn tea bags.

Maybe it might still help him relieve the swelling?

Any plain black tea bags will do. (My surgeon did give me all the usual drug prescriptions for pain too, just so you don't think I went to some witchdoctor:p.)

Haha - he is wearing the wife beater yet it looks like you're the one who did the beating!

Looks like he is being a good sport about it all. I could barely read about the surgery it just sounded so painful!

I hope he makes a quick recovery!

Oh sheesh-bless his heart.
I hope he is feeling better quickly because if your DH is ANYTHING like mine, he will be CRANKY and demanding(OK, and maybe a bit whiny) and just about the time your rear end hits the couch he says, "While you're up honey, could you get me..." after you have JUST asked him if he needs anything.

Seriously, hope he has a full and FAST recovery.
