It just started pipping, so it will be a long night!! I think I will check on the one that I heard chirping and pecking at the shell in a bit, if I don't see him pipping.

Horsegirl, that's pretty funny.

I was trying to get those chickens hitched before the eggs hatched, but those spoiled things demanded a caterer.

I cant wait to see pics of the fluffy one. I'm glad your little one is going to get company. I cant wait to see them.

You and me both!! I just hope it makes it. You know the first one had pipped and died overnight. I am gonna make sure that doesn't happen again though, if I can help it.

So Wendy, do you think I should move the first hatchling into the brooder now? Or wait? And is a 60 watt lightbulb alright? I have one of those chicken hutches... Thanks for all your help!!

YAY! "SHE" is adorable. Hope you get a friend for her soon.

I just had the three ugly ducklings of the quail world hatch. The last remaining three eggs. Goodness gracious, I do not know what happened to them. The others are adorable. These three are the stragglers- homely skinny, long-legged...but definitely quail. lol.
