In Georgia it doesn't out here, to a woman with kids it implies she's a um... "loose woman".

I think it was petty on Boxer's part. She didn't need to make a big deal out of it, but she did. If she had to say anything she could have made light of it and say something like , " Would you might calling me senator?"
