that can't feel good. Second. Lockdown has started and all 30 left from my 40 are alive and look good.

Take a look at your aircells. Are they bigger or smaller than the day 18 line on this pic: If they are bigger, I'd go ahead and get your humidity up now to 65-75% to keep them from losing any more water.

So my best egg (and 2 others) have pretty big air cells like the day 18 but they're 15 days, but they're also really funky shaped (I think it's called saddle air cell?). Are they OK or no?

So I have a 17 year old dog who is almost blind and deaf. She still loves to wander around, especially in the middle of the night. Last night, I'm making my way from bed to the powder room in the dark, and boom, she's there in my path and walks right into me. As I lunge forward to stop my fall, an obstacle goes in between my little toe and its mate...dang nearly rips the toe off...

...and why am I telling you this? Well, firstly, I need sympathy...it hurts!...but also tomorrow is Day 10 for me, and I was going to forego candling and instead get my maple trees tapped. As a result of an encounter of the ouch kind, I'll be candling not tapping...;-]

Also, I started collecting eggs for my next setting (Feb. 23) as I want to get more dark eggs into the setting. This hatch, 17% are dark, next hatch, I hope for 30%. The dark eggs will be up to 15 days old, whereas the balance will probably end up being all under 7 days old.

Ouch is right! Sorry about your toe, I'm sure it hurts like heck.

Leave them in and hope for the best. You might want to raise your humidity a little if the air cells seem too big.

Well team.feb dozen of eggs will be hatching today.i bought a dozen couldn't wait on my hens.
Looks like 3 out 12 going hatch.is an assort of eggs

Candled last night, day 14, two probably early quits left in but there are now 6 of 12 developing well. Aircells look a bit large so I have raised humidity. Only 7 day to go!

I dreamed I woke up to 30 tiny pairs of

looking at me and I freaked because it was too early. Then, after getting up at 3am and checking I fell back to sleep just to dream I was IN the shells about to hatch with the chicks.

Tonite we start the lockdown. My humidity is at 50-55 now. I'm not sure were it was at the first 17 days. Will check aircells before lockdown and see what happens.
