Valentines day hatch?

I'm bummed. Was hoping to see something today Would the air sac area get larger even if the egg isn't fertile?

what's your humidity? My airsacs never enlarged unless my humidity got too low

I'm seriously freaking out... DH is "clinically sterile," he and his ex wife tried for a year with no results. Somehow we managed to catch the egg our first cycle. Was not expecting this at all. Had sushi for lunch yesterday and drank a big mug of coffee before I took this test. >.<

Congrats!!! That's eggciting! lol no worries on the coffee and sushi, Im sure your little bean enjoyed it too lol!

I see pictures on here all the time of people penciling the rings around the egg of the air sac inlarging. ???? The incubator I bought off craigslist does everything. So, I have no clue what the humidity is. I only have a week left now. Still can't see anything. I have no clue what I'm doing though. It does seem the yolk has gotten bigger. Like it's filling more of the egg.

Well its probably not the yolk but a chick! As they get bigger you can see less and less of the inner eggs and it kind of turns into a solid mass. Sounds like you've done well, I would add a warm wet sponge when you go into lockdown on day 18, you don't want to risk shrink wrapped chicks and its important they have a decent level of humidity on hatch day.

I'm really thinking mine are infertile One more week and I'll know for sure. Of course it would be my luck that everyone since I put them in the bator has been fertile! The small light I have isn't bright enough I don't think. Seems I've wasted all this time Darn it.

Don't get discouraged, Im sure you will be surprised w/ some babies!

Ive decided to only candle once this round of eggs, theyre shipped and all silkies so Im going to just leave them be, a first for me!

My shipped eggs are the only ones doing anything.

Ive had good luck with shipped eggs but Ive never tried to hatch out silkies and apparently theyre move sensitive and difficult to hatch, we shall see!
