Today was brooder cleaning day (night). Of course, Houdini (that's what I decided to name him.) did NOT want to stay in the carrying box while I was cleaning, so him and his accomplice decided to watch for a few minutes.
Houdini is standing.

And when I finished... Look what I found:

Hope and Klondike all snuggled up.

Truely this country is being run by idiots at all levels.
Sometimes I think special interest groups are bribing our pols just so they (spec Int Grps) can make money. Then I come to my senses and realize they would never, ever do that. right.

Mikey B- after spending a few years working on a number of bills at the Capital and interacting with many legislators, I have to tell you. You are spot on. I recall one lawmaker who was so dumb it hurt to smile and keep spoon feeding her the data she asked for- because even when presented on a silver platter in large print, she could not get it right. Another lawmaker held up a very important bill and would not bring it up for a vite (she was the committee chair) so it died, never getting the chance to get voted on. Why? because another lawmaker didn't like the bill she helped write and since it was her pet, she felt slighted.

I sure wish they had as good of camera recorders then as they do now, I could have recorded some choice material......

Quote: Sweet thanks, I love sharing it helps with my excitement!
Here they are......

This fist one is on the wall in one of the downstairs HUGE bedrooms. There are also perfect flowers painted around the window, but I did not get a good picture of those.

These next few pictures are of one big painting that takes up one whole wall and the ceiling in the other HUGE down stairs bedroom.

See the clouds?

This one is in the "second living room".

These people had some talent! If I could find out who they were I would hire them to paint a wall in each of the kids rooms.
How cool!!! Thanks for sharing a look into what will (ok may) be your "new" home ! !

Now I gotta go back to wiring my house......................and put in Tamper -resistant plug outlets in each recepticle....and Tamper-resistant GFIs on all boxes within 5 feet of water...and the exterior boxes must be Tamper-resistant, "weather proof" and GFI.................the difference between 2012 electrical outlets, and 2013 (for our house) has been $130. and the breakers (AFCI circuit breakers required in all bedrooms and hard-wired smoke detector & CO2 systems, are $50 to $80 each instead of the regular circuit breakers that are a few dollars !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Imagine all those $2 and $3 circuit breakers are now $50 each !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is supposed to be yet more updates to the electrical code next January...we gotta finish this house before then !

We also must have a "whole house ventilation system" which involves a 4" fresh air inlet in each bedroom & living area, and a main house fan (not a bath or kitchen fan) that can cycle on its own, and completely disperse outside, all the cubic feet of air in your home, in a 24 hr period....that said, the fan kicks on & off, and creats a negative "vacuum" in the home, which opens up the little vents, and lets freash air in...and the fan thermostat is designed per the sq ft X the CFPM of the fan...a smaller fan would run longer than a big fan...and hopefully not suck out all the heat in the home !!!!!!!!!!

On that note:
NO ONE sells the parts needed to do this installation in the state !!!
Canada does, Europe does, but HVAC people here have NO IDEA what it is, yet it is required by code.

It just ain't fair I'm telling ya !

back to work I go.........................Ok enough ranting from me~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And sadly while it is part of NEC and required to pass inspection GFCI are junk. After a very few short years they will FAIL and need to be replaced.

Also CL while yer installing have ya considered any outlets with USB port to charge ? I am installing some in the stable and when we build the apartment I will be installing the international outlets too!

At 18 days the egg is mostly chick, you should not see veins anymore.

Ok good! So most of the ones that I checked today (Day 14) are mostly dark blobs with movement and you can kinda see a vein if you really hunt for it, but not in all of them. It looks like I could have 10 out of 14, but we shall see...

If you get a rooster that is about three months old and introduce it to your hens, the youngest of which are about nine months, how will that alter relationship dynamics when he's older? I imagine that the temperament of the rooster is probably the most important factor, but will he be more respectful of them if he's introduced at a much younger age? Feel free to ignore me if this is a dumb question.

on day 18 I can still see veins in some eggs. Yes it's mostly chick but white egg shells show things easily and with an extremely bright light you see the back of the chick, and the red lines which are veins. Dimmer lights you only see the chick or that it's a full egg.

Love this progression of pics! 2 were already under her before I got the camera working.
