Do ya know what brand? Also JUST in case you don't already know. A cord of firewood is 4' x 4' x 8' = 128 cubic feet tightly stacked and nothing less. Also I hope you aren't expecting 1 cord to last all winter. Unless you don't plan to burn a fire often. My mom just called. She contacted a company up here that sells and installs nice wood burning stove inserts. They paid for one FOR US! They're installing Friday. Um...WOWZA! Thanks mom and dad, I'm so excited to be warm in the house again! We can't afford to have the heat higher than about 66 all winter and I'm always cold. Not anymore! They also said they'd pay for our first cord of wood! Free heat for the winter = awesomeness!
Looking at the water-er. We have some just like that but NOT heated and DW can deal with them. If she can do it most anybody can. Thanks Dave! It looks a bit awkward. Do you think someone with limited strength could fill and turn it back over without drenching oneself?
I have two. Just don't fill them all the way. I learned that the hard way last winter! Lol!Thanks Dave! It looks a bit awkward. Do you think someone with limited strength could fill and turn it back over without drenching oneself?

Just checking in to see how this "new" thread is going. Did we have any casualties / fatalities with the crossover from the old thread?![]()
Seems like y'all continued without skipping a beat or missing a step!

The bottom always came off and dumped the water all over me when I tried last year. I got to the point I'd rather haul water. I'm going to clean it up since it's been sitting under the awning and see if it still works.

I think we can do it within a year.![]()
