24 hatched out walking and peeping babies ??? Or eggs ?
Far OUT !!!
I wanna see pics of them following momma around the yard...so cute !
lol.png

24 babies hatched out of 38 eggs. So in all it wasnt a bad hatch. I do think it was my fault that my thrid hens eggs didnt hatch. Where she nested has a horible updraft, that flows right through the bedding in the nest. So I dont think that nest had a chance at all from the beginning.

I will definately post some pictures of them out in the yard. My white duck has taken over the entire flock of babies, and the black and white pide, just follows around in the back, making sure they all stay together. Its terribly cute.

And thank you for the compliment on my EE'er I love her bunches. Her name is Stubby, "her tail was eaten off when she was just feathering out."

The services that I offer are mainly horse related, excersize, feeding, cleaning, turnout, shots, weight management, medications, barn management, ect... I also offer help in cleaning coops/runs, feeding and caring for other peoples flocks while they are away. I have experience with dogs, cats, horses, goats, farm birds "chickens, ducks, turkey, quail, pet birds "parotts, and song birds mostly." reptiles, rodents, fish tanks, sheep, cattle, ect... I'm kinda a jack of all trades, and when a situation arises that Im not sure how to handle... Well I take every oportunity to learn something new. lol

So far I have 3 full time clients that keep me quite busy.

they were out today as I cleaned the brooder...
and tomorrow I will upload brooder pics as someone has talked me into showing you all how it works, (as if you do not know how to brood) but she has talked me into showing you THIS brooder...
And are these blue babies the cutest you ever saw ?????

Late post tonight. Sat home sick today. UGH! Had my babies to keep me company! And boy did they!!! I think they were happy to have someone home to talk to! They are such sweet courteous darlings. When mommy went to bed they were quiet as can be and didn't start making noise till I was back up! They must have knew that I seriously needed rest today!!

They are getting so big! They would pop their little heads over the top of the brooder while I was on the couch and check in on me every few minutes. Give me a few peeps and kinda quacks and I would tell them I was ok then they would lay back down. LOL! I LOVE THEM!!!'

Yep! If you werent so far away I would be more than happy to help out. lol I do love my line of work, it doesnt allow me to rest very often though. Between my clients horses, and all my critters here at home, plus my 20 month old daughter, and Husband, "who cant seem to remove his head from his you know what." I stay on the go, but on those rare days where I can relax, I definately at least try too.

UPDATE!!!!
one of the impossible thought for dead bantm eggs hatched either yesterday or today.

i think it is a female. i tried sexing it like mike row did but it is a bantm and not sure if there are differences but i do not see a nub so i think its a female... will post pics tomorrow

i am naming it windy since it survived the impossible. 2 night of being wet and cold eggs.

so bantm eggs 1/8 hatched so far

pidgin the brahma's clutck 0/11 but now i have hope. maybe natural hatches take longer because of many factors.
