This freaked me out! I went to my account and deleted what I have been using and attached it to a savings account with no balance and when I make purchases I will add money, also I disconnected the account bank protection so if it was overdrawn they would not use my primary account to cover charges. I hate dishonest people
I am annyoed.... I bought something from Ebay, the item was fake/faurd but they still took the money out of my bank account, that made bells ring at my bank they called i am going over to talk with them tommrow... Ughhh i am going to close my paypal account after i get this sorted out...

I am alerted as soon as money is there and I move it immediately. It takes a couple days for it to hit the bank account, but the funds are tied up in the meantime and cannot be touched.
Wow, that really sucks that this happened to you. Had you gotten any e-mails from 'paypal' asking you to log in to your account? That's how they generally get your password. If you do ever get any e-mails like that (Paypal will not send you e-mails asking you to verify your account) you should send them to [email protected]
I had one do that with me before (send an e-mail) and like an idiot I logged in through the 'site'. Luckily I figured out what was going on and quickly changed my password before something happened. I'm changing it right now actually, it's been a while since I have.
Sorry this happened to you and hopefully they'll be able to get your money back to you.

I have a Paypal debit card so I don't have to move it. It helps a lot, I usually can't wait for it to go to the bank. Also, my bank account linked to paypal is a savings and they charge me for any withdrawals over 3 in a quarter. I use my paypal money for buying feed so it's not like I can leave it in the bank.
I've thought about that a lot, too, especially since I hooked up my internet to a wireless router. I put fort knox encryption on my wifi, but there are other ways for them to get access to my accounts. I keep a close eye on my money.
ETA: I think having a separate account attached to your Paypal and transferring it to your bank from there, later, is a great idea! I have an account or two where I can do exactly that.
