Water inside the coop? What do YOU do?

Food and water inside... I may shortly add a water outside, as it will be heating up here soon.

Food and water stay out of the coop here. If it is raining I will feed them in the coop, but otherwise I don't want them making a mess in the "house". I only feed them twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. This means they are forced to clean up any mess they make of the food if they are still hungry. (They get on average 8-9 cups of food a day for my flock of 8 [ten right now as my two I had sold are back for a week] )

If I keep the water in the coop the girls just end up spilling it all over the floor which is wood. I don't do wet wood.

Water and treat food outside....except in the winter I will hang chard or large leaf green veggies for treats in a suet holder that I know will get eaten up and not settle into the bedding to mould.
