Watery GREEN POOP- DESPERATE- third SICK!

She's better today, thank goodness. I've still taken her aside from the flock & given her special attention while I give her food & (medicated) water & will probably continue to do so for a while...at least until I think she's rebounded. By that time, we may just be into a routine of "Just Us" time, lol. I can think of lots of ways to spend time, but no better way to spend it than with my girls.

I need help too. my blue swedish had forest green water poop and was weak. only wanted to drink water and not eat…. she was sick for a day the died this past Sunday. the day before she got sick she was fine. she was almost 2 years old. My other 8 ducks are fine.

I've lost 3 to this this year & a few last year. It may be dehydration caused by Mites. They live in wood crevasses & wood shavings. I'm trying to keep coop covered with DE (food grade) I dusted chickens. But by time their poop is watery green & they just don't eat. Yogurt helped for a while yet their age made it harder on them. Look up Mites On another thread. I research but not 100% sure that's what killed them. Hard to watch & try to help yet nothing worked. Watching others. First they had poopy bottoms. They enjoyed their warm baths. Wondered if that helped or not. Any advice? Trying to keep others healthy.

@MO chick your post caught my attention. Here's my situation: I noticed mites about 3 weeks ago. Treated with wood ash which seemed to do a good job. Few days later, I notice my top hen (Raven - a Black Sex Link) is not eating, has green diarrhea and a droopy tail. Then find swollen abdomen. Tried hand feeding and giving vitamin drops, but condition worsened. Tearfully took to vet to euthanize - I felt as though she was suffering and wanted that less than anything. That was almost 2 weeks ago. My theory with her is possibly mites made thin shells, and egg broke inside of her and got her backed up. This is just speculation. Raven had just turned 3 yrs. old. Now one of my RIRs that hatched just a few weeks after Raven (so they got sick almost at exactly the same age - probably coincidence), Peewee, has green diarrhea and won't eat or drink. Her tail is not droopy nor is her abdomen swollen though. I have found broken thin shelled eggs in the nesting box for the last couple days (but not today) that I am almost certain were hers. This is my piggiest hen - a fanatical worm and grub eater - picking up a shovel used to make her come running (Loose soil! = yummies!). I could not get her to eat anything today except for 2 grubs (last resort). Yesterday just a few bites of yogurt. CAN I DO ANYTHING TO HELP PEEWEE? Should I get antibiotic? Where do I get that? Should I worm her? Not sure where to get that either. I've gotten the mites off of her - a couple weeks ago. There may be a few here and there but nothing like there was. I check every couple of days and continue dusting periodically with wood ash. I feel horrible that I didn't notice the mites sooner, and that they got so bad....
I have 10 other "big" chickens, as well as 7 Silkies, one of which is a broody that hatched 7 chicks almost 2 weeks ago.
Help? Please?

This is how my rescued EE poops on her roost. Last night she entered the coop earlier than usual and sat with her wings extended. (It's been hot recently.) This morning she just drank and drank but I didn't see her eat anything. I've had her for a year and her poops have been like this off and on. She was a daily egg layer with occasional shell-less or weak shell eggs but hasn't laid recently and is not broody. Age unknown. She's been wormed recently with valbazen. Her 15 companions are fine. She lives in the right-hand building below.

I I have chickens and ducks. I have noticed some thick green poop. Does the color green mean they are sick?

Not always - part of it depends on what they are eating.

There is what some have described as a "neon green" poop, and that can indicate problems. But for example, when mine eat peas or lettuce, they have green poop.

When did this start?

Please feel free to post over on the Duck Forum. Duck keepers tend to see those posts more than on the emergency forum, seems to me.

Hi, I just took note of the green poop the last week or so. I do try to give them a potpourri of veggies. The poop was not watery. Maybe it was the kale or spinach? I love the white speckled duck you have. What kind of duck is it? I have two ducks, three hens and one rooster. How long have you had your ducks? We are located in central N.J. I haven't found a solution to my freezing snoopy pool. Any suggestions on how you provide fresh swimming for them? Thank you.
