Wait, 15-20 is "crazy"???? I must be insane then, I've got 40!

I only have 5 and I can't keep their names straight as it is. My wife names them and I forget em...sounds pretty self defeating. Well we have 5 more on order now so I am looking at more self defeating chicken love where I just love em being around me and my wife names these things too. I name my chicken all "Sweatie". Also, is there anyone reading this that doesn't appreciate the chicken that runs at you from across the yard to greet you?

Speaking of chicken Cray Cray. I do have one her name is either Lizzey or Molley you would have to ask my wife on a Tuesday to know for sure that will only lay her egg inside and behind my computer chair.

All I can say about you having 40 chickens...is

If you are not in the hundreds, and I mean really into the hundreds, you are an amateur!

I have been cutting down on birds for a couple years now,,,, ask @BantyChooks or @holm25 ...and they can verify I have been trying to cut down my numbers....

I am still WAY WAY too high...even after some nice person broke into my coop and run and stole 94 birds,,,,,,

I have been seeking a 12 step program.

I saw it, and had it shared to me about 324 times by friends and relatives.

I never get the nice articles forwarded to me, only the ones about the latest salmonella outbreak.
So, when I saw this one, it was payback time.. lol. I made sure to send it to those most active in calling me a chicken nut. One reply I got was ''That article makes you look normal."

Oh and btw....do you know how many chickens I would have if I had 20,000 to blow on chickens....let's just say I could start my own experimental station.....

He speaks truth. NPIP testing day there was just that.... a literal day. Or was it more? I think I remember it taking you three days once.
What are you down to now, about 150? 200?

I'm sorry I don't Know what a piker is unless you are referring to Pikeys? I'm not a brit but pretty sure that is what you are referring to. Guess we both need to watch Snatch again.
