My husband and I are in our early twenties and just got married last October, and that's the song we used! It's been one of my favorite songs for as long as I can remember. After we had our first dance with each other, I danced with my father and my husband danced with his mother, and we went a little more contemporary with that song-- we used Damian Marley's "There for You".

Definately the chicken dance!!!! If she's a keeper she won't even mind!!

Hello,
Congratulations! Since you are planning your wedding outside...the only suggestion I have for you is..on your cake...certain icings 'sweat', buttercream is a good icing to have indoors or out. The flavor, what taste good to you, or there is nothing wrong with half and half....depends on you. Also, if the cake has been in the freezer, it will sweat. (Tell them you want fresh)
A cake website I use a lot is
www.wilton.com

They have a whole section devoted to wedding cakes...with lots of photos...

A white runner (for your dress, to protect it) if your outside...they are relatively cheap.
Anyway, lots of things....if it's outside, buy or rent at least a small canopy. (I bought one, and we have reused that many times, for weddings, showers..etc.. Michaels sells solid white ones 10 X 12 for about $40... makes good shade, also attractive photo opt.
Will email you pics if you want.

Buy disposable camera's leave one on each table with a small engraved note to have the people at their table...take pictures of everyone and things...at their table!

I got some great photo's....
I had 3 family video camera's going...and my brother put them onto one 'tape' (at the time)...am getting the video put onto CD now...(This was free, paid my photographer)
(But I also had family with nice camera's taking photos too) They got some great shots!
You can always ask some of your family to take photo's, you provide the film.

What you like, you do.

CONGRATULATIONS!

I have no input for preparations......me and DH literally just showed up for our wedding....our moms arranged the whole thing in less than a week!

If you don't mind going a little cheaper...I went to a dollar store here that had a huge selection of fake flowers and I spent $200 on flowers and vines. These have now made the rounds to 5 different weddings and I still haven't gotten them back!!!

I wore a gold sun dress that cost $12.99. I bought a piece of gold lace for my hair, used gold sparkle dust on my skin and I was all set. (A friend kept yelling "Solid Gold" everytime I walked past him, like from the old T.V. dance and music show)

My priest called me because this was his first outdoor back yard wedding wanting to know what to wear, so I told him to wear his LOUDEST hawiian shirt and sandles. (I think he was thrilled) Super casual was awesome. Everyone felt comfortable and I think had a great time!!
