Weird looking foots.

Hi. Thank you for your interest in the topic. Photos taken by phone attached to microscope (one photo without microscope). I made cuts with nail cutter. Magnification 40x 100x and last one 400x. I know they are poor quality. It was imposibble for me to create thin section from this. For me it have internal structure (but different form) similar to something i had have on my foot about year ago, except mine had also tiny black lines from bottom to top(i cut it with sharp knife several times (it recovers) and after some repeated cutting its gone permanently).

So errant nail bed tissue, with multiple nails growing.
Did you pull them all out?
Wonders what does the remaining tissue look like and if it will heal over or start growing again.

Were these birds hatched by you or purchased?

I'v pulled only one small piece for test, don't have a pic of area after removal. Birds are hatched by me.
I wonder what to do. Remove it all and risking some complications related to surgery or improper treatment after surgery, or leave it as it is and risking something I don't know about. This bird looks happy, does not show pain or discomfort, walks as a happy duck.

I think I would remove it all and then wrap it up with some antibiotic cream on it.
