Weird things only poultry people get.

Do we eat roosters or just chickens?
We don't eat roosters, only chickens.
Does rooster taste like chicken?
Of course not, they aren't a CHICKEN.
Do the chickens lay eggs even though you don't have a rooster? Do the chickens bump chests because they want to be friends? Answer: NO, they just can't high five.

I call my chicks, when talking to them as a group, "cheepers". Once they get older, I call them boys and/or girls. When talking to my ducks, I call them "Quackers" (autocorrect always changes that to quakers, hahaha). All of my chickens and ducks have names so I call them by name when speaking to them individually :)
I call the chicks chicklets, then when they go outside littles, then teens until they lay then just hens. I have been known to have chicklets in the house, littles in the "baby barn", teens in the yard along with the hens.

When I went to pick up my order of chicks, I asked the postmaster what was the live mail he dreaded the most - he said bees.
Yeah, I've had bees delivered several times but I pick them up in the morning before they go out.
Except for the time I had a queen delivered and the substitute postman put her and her attendants in the mailbox. They all cooked in there.

That helped a bit, but a real life hug is better. I just broke up with my GF of three years a few months ago, so now I have no one except my chickens.
Aw, I'm sorry. I haven't had to go through a breakup yet, as I haven't tried to look for a boyfriend, but it sounds like a very hard thing to deal with.
Have another couple of hugs: :hugs 🤗
Good luck! I hope that you feel better soon.
