Oh! I remeber something! A few years ago when I first got chickens I thought that they had breast cancer in their chest area, they were meat chickens. I cried. Turns out it was their crops.

My local store sells them for making soup and they label them "paws"!

I've heard of using the feet for broth..... but not soup...

I take it back. I have my BR hen "Rocks-Anne" inside with me now, in the house, with air conditioning! Now she can close her eyes, and enjoy a cool nap!

I fragile hen, Ivory, was not built for a big flock and the outdoors. Quite tame. Would do perfect inside of a house to. Such a cuddle bunny.
