@Miss Lydia i love your decorations, your setup looks so cute! I’ve gotta work on that.

We got clobbered with snow last March, lost power for 4 days. It was horrible! The ducks fared better than anyone. We have a generator and a hookup for the entire house now.
Oh gosh! That’s good you have a generator now! I love that photo, it’s beautiful!

What a cute picture. Where did you get that nice pool? @Runner duck mom duck
I got one too she just didn't get to swim

Omg, I'm loving all these pics already! Our ducks always get so confused when they run over to their pool and it's frozen over, how dare the weather disrupt their routine!
We ordered their pool online, it's an Intex. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Intex-57...3N-eMGIlBZtgoYkGg7h0Bb3VLgDkJyYhoCz9kQAvD_BwE
It held up for a long time even after freezing over 2 winters. But we were able to clean it up and use it as a brooder for the new ducklings.

It was cold the day I took this pic, but we rarely have snow that stays in VA. They were watching me put up fencing on the bottom of the chain link kennel so the chicks can't get through. One is named Pickles and likes to quack so loud, I think she's louder than the BJG roosters.

I guess Pickles is about 2-3 months old? - That is their teenager-time when they discover their mature voice and quack-a-lot… It will stop when they're about 4 months old.

Always a good day for swimming :)
I was draining the duck-pool yesterday and the hose-inlet clogged with a ball of feathers, so i had to reach into the water… -it felt like my hand was cut off!
No problems for the Duckies! They enjoy their pool even when there's ice swimming in the water. My feet would likely fall off…

Yeah she's a jumbo Pekin and about 2.5 months old. Our Drake Quackers is so quiet, I love it.

Yup! You need to have a generator! We had an outage last week for 19 hours and without a generator our heater won't work, and we don't have a fireplace in the house. :(
