And that is why we have our babies when we're young. That and the forgetfulness that comes at a certain time of life. Don't want to put one down and forget where we left it.I have 4. But one lives in Pensacola and one is just a couple wks old.
These two here stay with us during the day every other wk while dd1 is ar work. Usually this is my wk off but the other grandparents had dr appointments today so they are with me. I enjoy them but yeah, sometimes its more than my mood and physical abilities can take... im tired..
And thanks.. hope you have a joyful day too!![]()
Yeah, but I miss my little ones. Youngest GD is 6 1/2 weeks old and I've only seen her twice. I will get to see the girls this weekend. Not sure about GS - still has blisters from HFM disease. We were going to go see him first, but don't want to carry it back to the other grands.Morning Pond,
Hope those caught in the heat, again, like us, sigh, are doing well and keeping the critters cool.
Sometimes not having any family located close by is a good thing.
Oh broom!!! I am so, so sorry for your loss! Wow! She lived a really long bunny life! And, with your tribe, I am positive she was never a bored bunny!
I have come to believe our animals, even those who don't live out full, fat years like your sweet Bun, really have great lives - never knowing ill treatment of any kind.
As a famous frIend if mine once said, "Eat some ice cream... No, eat a lot of ice cream. It will make you feel better." (Okay, not a direct quote, but the idea is the same!) Love ya, Broom!![]()
Man, that's crazy!
What have the Temps been?
We are finally moving into a more normal July (high 90's, low hundreds) pattern this week. But it's still nothing like last year where we spent so many days in the hundred-teens, so I'm grateful for a more normal pattern.
Oh, and smoke. The smoke has come early. That huge Klamathon fire and winds from the north have given us quite the haze!
Wow! Hotter than Redding? Crazy!!!Thanks everybody for all the warm thoughts & hugs!!!Orr this post made me laugh & cry.
I'm considering going on a Haggen Das diet.
Its been 93* in the house without cooling off at all during the night & 105* outside. We just came off of our May Gray/June Gloom season so there was zero acclimation period for the animals. Poor Baby Iris is getting so big, so fast, & doesn't know how to handle the heat. We try to sneak him watermelon because the mean girls wont let him have any. He's been great about the kids soaking his feet though, so that's good. Its a little cooler today thank Heavens. You know Summer here starts late, but drags out well into Fall. Since its so hot, so early, I wonder if that means it will be over early too, or if we're just gonna be hammered down for the long haul.
PS. Lisa I love the name The Dome.![]()
So, the orthopedic Dr. said surgery on Thursday afternoon. There's more damage in there than the ER docs saw.
